The UK Pavilion – ‘where business, science and culture combine’
The UK is creating a stand-out, bee hive inspired Pavilion designed by British artist Wolfgang Buttress showcasing the best of British business, science and culture globally.
The UK Pavilion takes the journey of the honey bee to highlight the role of pollination in the food chain. It will showcase new UK technology helping to solve the global challenge of sustaining bee populations.
The visitor will take an immersive journey through an orchard and wildflower meadow onto a 17m high stylised bee hive in the form of a filigree aluminium sphere. The visitor will be surrounded by the sounds of movements within a real bee hive, using ground breaking UK technology monitoring the health of bee hives.
The UK Pavilion will combine the highest level of inspirational design with strong environmental credentials to create a unique visitor experience.
